Britney co wrote the song and something tells me it's about JT, it seems really personal, given JT's history i think it's about him, Britney felt lonely when she was with him(not in the beginning, i'm meaning post Honeymoon phase).

I've always heard it as being in a relationship with someone who is only giving half of what the other is giving, who is only half present in the relationship.

I always listened to it like being illuded, being in a relationship that isn't real, the partner just doesn't loves you back the way you wanted, the lyrics are so moving and everytime i listen i'm like
