What happened after "Work *****" ?

I took a break from Exhale in December of 2013 and didn't return until late last year. 

The "Perfume" video had not been released yet and the Vegas residency hadn't started.

 

What went wrong with Perfume? I know there was drama regarding the original video plan and Joseph Khan got upset.

Did Britney promote the single?

Is what happened with Joseph Khan the similar to what possibly happened with David Lachapelle and the Make Me... video?

Did we get a reason why there was no other single after "Perfume"? Was there an unofficial 3rd single?

 

Why is Britney having issues with music video directors ever since she joined RCA? Why didn't her first album under RCA get more than 2 singles?

'Perfume' had no promo and a botched video. The album was getting negative reviews, backlash from the fans, and was selling poorly. The entire era was cancelled at that point. Thankfully, tbh.
