What sets Britney apart from her music industry peers in 2016?

Without mentioning anything from before the start of the decade, what's current Britney's main selling point - the thing that sets her apart from every other star?

Every recent major pop star has a gimmick. Rihanna has confidence, swagger, and knocks out hit after hit after hit. Beyonce has artistry and good performances. Lady Gaga has unique outfits and music videos. Nicki Minaj is the pop/hip-hop crossover. Katy Perry is quirky and has had a string of huge hits like Rihanna. Adele has her voice. Taylor Swift is the innocent country girl that captures the young tween audience.

What does Britney have?

Britney is the underdog, after taking the back seat from the spotlight for a while people are excited to see her make her way back to the top. She is also arguably the sweetest and most grounded in the music industry

 

and we cant forget how unique and recognisable her voice is

She is the cliché of what a popstar should be like. Relatable tracks, soft/girly and adaptable voice to every pop track and you know what? It only works for her and it's one of the few popstars who still do actual choreographies in the industry.

Britney has remained the last pure "pop star" out there. People expect the pretty dance pop music for her. Britney is and has been the industry standard for Madonna inspired post-millennial pop. She may dabble in different sounds and trends, but to her benefit she sticks to what she knows, and brings it in a major way every time.

Entertainer wise, she still dances something that literally nobody does anymore. There's just something about her that you never know what expect, unlike Beyoncé. Personality wise, everyone knows she's one of the sweetest and humble people in the entertainment business. They know that she is a really strong girl after everything she's been through .

Britney came out as the MOST CONVENTIONALLY ATTRACTIVE, MOST UNIVERSALLY DESIRABLE **** GIRL ON THE PLANET.

That's what kills me when ppl act like she has no substance in her music. wtf - thats her thing. She has that throaty voice and can sing about *** like a pro. and obviously her first cds were marketed as such. I'm not saying that's all she has; she has incredible talent as a performer and a dancer but got damn....

She was a blonde bombshell with a fit body that was fit at 16 and then got fitter and fitter. But she was AN ALL AMERICAN GAL going to taco bell in her white trash outfits but looking fit-as-****. Not to mention her pop masterpieces and **** music videos. 

Then the media turned on her, divorce, blah blah blah, and then she became an underdog story of the sweet, all american gal from Louisiana growing up in the spotlight and getting her children back and being a good mom. Who doesn't want her to succeed? Seriously.

And ppl love to hate her cause she personifies THE hot girl that never gave them the time of day, male or female.

Also, although critics may use this as a negative, literally nobody does sexpot quite like her. It inspires me, so I'm totally down with.

Why the **** can't we count what happen before this decade?  She the same person.  No one go to see MJ last tour in 2009 for his recent accomplishment.  No one go to see hard candy tour for hard candy album.  It make no ****** sense to not count ha previous accomplishment.    People go to see ha because she a culture icon and legend, not everyone have that

To all those who are saying that her biggest selling point is her humble, down-to-earth, genuine personality, do you think that's a selling point for the GP or it is just something for the current fans? With how little she has put herself out there in the past few years (with regards to interviews), it doesn't seem like something that the GP would even pick up on.
