Do they have permission to make it without her consent? I'm sure she wouldn't like this idea. The film simply can't narrate the truth about her breakdown because only Britney knows about it. And I'm sure she doesn't want to share it yet.

It's ''inspired by'' so they can do it without her/family's consent.. The only thing is that they won't be able to use her music. That's why the storyline is more oriented on her love life/public meltdown I guess..

Yes they did the Britney movie without Aaliyah's family consent and wasn't even allowed to play her music, but yet.... they still continued.

I heard rumor that "Country Strong" was sort of based on her story, but had mix-ins of other stars, and then for dramatic effect they killed her off and changed the storyline a bit.

*keep in mind, this was when Country Strong was brand new, in 2011. 

*also keep in mind, I'm not claiming it's true. I'm just saying it was a big rumor that went around.
