  1. So I’m a little proud of myself because I have lost 22 pounds since last year at this time! I did this by mainly working up to walking 5-6 miles a day! I made some dietary adjustments as well, but nothing drastic. Anyway, it made me wonder what health goals or achievements have you set for yourself or have celebrated recently? Do you find setting goals works for you, or do you just find yourself in the midst of a health kick without realizing it? My next goal is to drop some more weight, get a gym membership, and get my azz back to therapy. Only then will I be insufferable unstoppable.
  2. Does anyone here do any martial arts? I have always wanted to try kickboxing but Ive heard that for self defense jiu jitsu is the best. I looked it up and it looks like lame rolling around on the floor but I can see how its more usefull for a woman in a self defense situation. It just doesnt look..... cool. Thats sounds like a dumb *** reason but yeah, I cant get myself interested into signing up. Anyone here do any martial arts and can recomend something?
  3. Exhale, just wondering... what's your favorite Britney track to get your sweat on? BTW I made a 800+ song workout playlist which has a ton of Britney songs in it in case you need some inspo (bottom of the post). I know it's cheesy, but "Work B----" really is that gym banger. Sound off in the comments!
  4. I want to get toned but I'm not interested in loosing much weight if any. I've been doing some reading on my own, but I was wondering about your opinions First of all I JUST learned how to dress in a way that's complimenting my body andbody also my style. Clothes are expensive and trying to redo a wardrobe to refit a different body is effing exhausting. I already suck at it and it took me forever to find a style that works and I like. Second of all, my current body type is a nicis and healthy halfway between when I was my heaviest (severe depression) and my skinniest (severe anxiety) so I'm not into changing it. Really, I just need to find an exercise routine that's easy to commit to and a meal plan that works. I like walking a lot and I like to hula hoop AGGRESSIVELY So fellow mouth breathers what would you do or have you done just to get your body more fit without loosing an assload of weight or retain your weight?
  5. Liam Hemsworth graces the new issue of Men's Health. The pictures are In the interview, Liam says after four years of being vegan, he now eats meat. He eats a ton of the same thing then wonders why he has a high concentration of it in his body You can read the full interview on Men's Health. I've personally cut out almost all meat from my diet and I feel a lot better. Looking at packaged meat at the grocery store grosses me ut now. Exhale, y'all vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian or meat eaters? No judgement. Just curious.
  6. I thought I'd start of thread sharing how we all stay active and fit. Just going to the gym can sometimes be boring, so how do you all mix it up? I like to do pilates, jog outdoors and dance! I'm not a professional dancer, but I like learning choreo from youtube or doing my own thing.
  7. The 21-year-old undefeated boxing phenom is one of the sport's best. He currently holds the Silver Championship belt in the lightweight division. Garcia is dubbed the Golden Boy of boxing. He's also an advocate for treating one another with respect and kindness. A boxing rival of his, Devin Haney, recently said he would "never let himself get ‘beaten by a white boy.’" People believe he was referring to Garcia, who is of Mexican descent. “We should all respect everyone from every race and see who the best man is,” Garcia said. “I respect Devin Haney and I believe he didn’t mean this with racist intent. Let’s all respect each other for the love of the sport.” Brains AND braun. I stan. Check out his interview and photoshoot with Interview. Thoughts??
  8. Concerts, events, THE OLYMPICS... everything was put on hold due to the ongoing pandemic caused by the Coronavirus. Everything except the CrossFit Games, that is. According a new press release from the CrossFit head quarters, the Games, typically hosted in Madison, Wisconsin, will instead take place in the sport's place of origin, Aromas, California. "We remain fully committed to planning a live competition with live media coverage," the statement reads. "At this point we are concentrating on a competition in Aromas, the original home of the CrossFit Games. We are also evaluating options for virtual competition. We will continue to monitor events globally at will have more details for athletes and fans in the coming months." It continues: "The Games will not be a public event due to sweeping decisions to ban large festivals and sporting events for the foreseeable future. We are suspending the on-site spectator experience for this year." They add CF will offer refunds after the event, which kicks off at the end of July. I'm an avid CrossFitter and wanted to share this news. A virtual potion?! Any fellow CrossFitters here in Exhale?
  9. Zac Efron says he isn't motivated to get his incredible physique he sported in Baywatch back any time soon. A SHAME. “That was actually a really important time to do Baywatch because I realized that when I was done with that movie, I don’t ever want to be in that good of shape again. Really. It was so hard,” Zac said in a new interview. “You’re working with almost no wiggle room, right? You’ve got things like water under your skin that you’re worrying about, making your six-pack into a four-pack. **** like that it’s just not … it’s just stupid.” Then, he backtracks. “I’m happy that it worked, I’m happy that it got me through it. I may do it again if it was something worthwhile but we’ll wait till it gets to that,” Zac said. “I’m good. Take care of your heart, take care of your brain and you’re good.” TBH he was a little roidy in that era so I approve of his decision. Smart. Did any of you see Baywatch? I started it and got 30 min in before I had to stop
  10. The governor of Florida issued a state-wide stay-at-home order last week, however that didn't stop JLo and Alex Rodriguez from hitting up a gym in Miami. The Internet is not pleased. The gym actually had a sign that read “This gym is not open. Stay home stay safe.” However, the owners of the gym opened it up for them to train in private. You think a pandemic will stop JLo from working out in a posh gym? Please.
  11. God Daley shared a booty blast workout that I think I'm going to try today. Wanted to see if anyone wanted to try it with me and post afterward how they think it went for them. It's a quick 10-minute circuit. I'm ready to F up my legs so here goes!
  12. Hey Exhale, I wrote a few words in a new video I posted to Instagram. The clip is of me from my chest day workout this week. I moved my office area into my living room and made it a home gym now. I fell in love with fitness many years ago, and I honestly don't know who I'd be without it. It's so important to be active right now despite how hard that might feel. I promise you'll feel so much better after a little workout. There's a million at-home workouts available online (whether you have any equipment or not). Try something, anything. Get moving! Have any of you started working out at home? I'd love to hear from you in the comments. Also, feel free to post more in the Fitness section here on Exhale. Here's the IG caption: Sending love your way, fam!
  13. I know most people think it's crazy to workout twice a day, but I don't care lol. I love fitness as much as I love music and it really works for me. PLUS, music and fitness go hand in hand. Also I have so much energy that I NEED to channel it into something productive. I added accessory work and strength training to my daily routine. I do CrossFit in the mornings then the gym in the afternoons. It's been super fun getting familiar about new rep schemes and all the different movements that can be done. I haven't been in a gym for 6 years aside from CrossFit, so I have a lot to learn. Here's a bit of my bicep workout from earlier this week. The weight stayed the same but the number of reps increased each round. 12 14 16 18 This video is the final set of 18 reps. My biceps were fatigued hence why I had to take two breaks 😬 Stay fit amidst this crazy time y'all! Hoping to inspire you guys to hit the gym and post about your journeys in Exhale's new Fitness Forum. If you have any questions ask in the comments.
  14. Filing this in Exhale's new Fitness, Health & Lifestyle Forum. Actor Kumail Nanjiani shows off a pretty astounding body transformation in the new issue of Men's Health. He was inspired to get in tip-top shape as he prepares for his role in Marvel's The Eternals, in which he plays an ego-swollen, muscle-packed alien among men. He had this to say: My thoughts... it's great he found motivation to get in the best shape of his life. However, if he's doing it just for the role... his transformation can't be sustained (in the same way). Based off the interview, it appears to be something he fell in love with so hopefully it sticks! Thoughts on the new pics?
  15. Soo I was just being thirsty and stumbled upon a photo of Shawn Mendes wearing a CrossFit shirt. I do CrossFit 4, 5, 6 times a week. It's changed my life profoundly, so this was a pleasant surprise to see him supporting the sport. It gave me an idea Let's post photos and videos of our favorite artists up in the gym working on their fitness to get us inspired! SFW please. And if you need some tunes to get fit to, here's my personal workout playlist with literally hundreds of bangers curated by yours truly:
