Tate McRae dismisses Britney as an inspiration and doesn't even follow her on Instagram

Her strategy is proving effective; her fans are currently claiming that she has never drawn inspiration from Britney. The approach taken by her team and herself, which essentially copied Britney's entire concept, has yielded results.

Her team's strategy is basically to copy as much as they can from Britney since it's a proven formula for success, but without acknowledging it so that newer generations think Tate is being original. This isn’t the first time she's done this either. In her VMA preparation video, she essentially cosplayed an iconic Britney look from the same awards show, but never mentioned Britney at any point. She talked about her look and a million other things, completely ignoring the fact that it was a direct copy of Britney's style. The same thing happened with her most recent video.

Here you can see her talking about wearing a Cavalli dress, which she claims was her idea to cut and make it s3xier.

 

Plus, she doesn't even follow Britney on Instagram, and when she was recently asked about building her own pop star with three different artists, she responded: “Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, and Rihanna.”

This poor girl can't win. Whether she praises or doesn't praise Britney, she is attacked for it. Let's save the vitriol for those that truly deserve it, like Timberdouche, Xtincta and Scam Asghari.

Not following Britney on Instagram shouldn't be a problem. Not every person likes her "content", it can be a jump scare every time. 

Britney herself (captions I mean) says she wants to make people uncomfortable with her perfect content, not every person wants to feel uncomfortable.

Tate is actually more comparable to Xtincta, in that I never hear either of their names outside of this forum. Queens of Exhale, but not much else.

And Tate had one big hit... greedy. Ever since she has been struggling with new songs.

Her image looks dated, look the other current pop girls. She will probably have to go to a different direction... back to Billie or going to Ariana field.

A lot of them follow Britney attacks thinking every single person paying homage to Britney is copying or insulting her.

If artists stop their support they will cry about Britney being ignored everywhere.

Tate was just born when the Onyx Hotel Tour happened and was 5 years old when Britney was put into the CON - so forgive her for not embracing Britney as we have lol. Get some perspective

Huh? I don't even like Tate but if you wanna talk perspective... Tate has literally mentioned Britney as a reference many times from magazine interviews to red carpets events...   Just because she hasn't recently recently doesn't make it any less true.  More than one thing can be true.

I agree - both can be true. Not sure why everyone wants to drag Tate for being more influenced or relating more to other artists instead of mentioning Britney every time. It’s not a big deal. Britney is lucky she was amazing for 4 years of her 20 year career and that is enough to stand the test of time (and birth lol)

Oddly enough, Tate follows a Britney fan page but not Britney herself. I doubt she would do that if she "dismisses" her. She probably does not like what Brit puts on Insta most of the time. I don't like her Instagram but still love her .. the endless spinning videos made me feel dizzy.
