Let's be honest, she didn't like her mother or sister too much and she threw mud at them in her book and made herself a victim. I believe that childhood and life with them was not easy at all, but it is wiser to move on and set safe boundaries than to whining 40 years later.

This is heartbreaking. I lost my mother almost 3 years ago (8/31/2021) and 2 months later to the day (10/31/2021), my sister was hit by a drunk driver. Luckily, my sister survived, but was in the hospital for 4 months… 

Just imagine getting the phone calls though….
