Britney is HILARIOUS. I'm so glad she posted this video!!! Died laughing. So happy to see her freely express the goofy, sassy person she is.

These are my hot translation takes. 

1. Did you guys watch the VMAs? I didn't watch the VMAs

Translation: I have better things to do

2. I did see stuff on my phone from youtube

Translation: I casually noticed the VMAs whilst having better things to do

3. Why is she kissing an alien...on stage? I adore her. I love her to death. I didn't understand that part * wrinkles her nose in disgust* Why didn't she kiss a girl?

Translation: You should have left the original part of that performance alone 

4. Like that was weird

Translation: You tried to be creative and it flopped. Go back to the drawing board. 

5. But I also thought the whole things was kind of weird

Translation: You flopped

6. But after watching that I took a really long bath and I actually color. 

Translation: I had to relax after watching that performance 

7. I'm into coloring right now. I like to color and I like to trace.

Translation: I'm creative. I like coming up with my own stuff and replicating.

8. I like to color and trace the pictures and then go back over it. I don't know why I'm talking about that. Oh, it's because of this sabrina girl.

Translation: Please stop making poor derivatives of my work.  If you're going to copy my work, do it right. 

9. She said my name on the red carpet and I thought that was kind of cool because I forget I'm famous sometimes.

Translation: it doesn't matter which derivative artist (sabrine, Tate, whichever GIRL) is trying to replicate me, I'm flattered that you guys are still copying me years later when I'm not even trying to be relevant. 

10. I forget I'm famous somtimes... because I'm a mom... mumbles I'm kind of old... but she said something this sabrina girl and i thought thanks that's cool .. ha ha ha she made me cool

Translation: See boys!!!! I may be your mom, but I'm NOT old, I'm still relevant and pop stars your age are referencing me. Your momma who posts inappropriate photos on instagram. You may not think I'm cool but the ENTIRE world does HA HA HA

Who said anything about Lisa? Lisa is talented, but I don't get a strong sense of self from her. I think that's a byproduct of the K-pop ethos, not an indictment of her talent. The U.S. celebrates individualism. Korean culture is steeped in collectivism. So, Lisa has a pretty unique and challenging road ahead. That said, I don't think Britney is competing. That's the point. And also why her IG is HILARIOUS. You can't replicate what made Britney Britney.

I don't think she was being shady at all. My interpretation is my interpretation. Britney plays characters very well, and it was refreshing to see and hear. 

Like, I genuinely think Britney could have been on SNL in a real way. Is SNL constantly throwing shade?

Here's the deal: I don't have any preconceived notion of WHO Britney Spears SHOULD be or even IS as a human being. Britney Spears the brand and pop star aside.

I thought it was awesome that she shared that video because I felt like I finally saw her personality for the first time since Carson Daly interviewed her on TRL. 

She came off as authentic, funny, and spicy  

Take it down a notch with the insults. If you want to discuss what you didn't like about how Britney presented herself, then cool. I'm here for it.

Yeah, the way some 'fans' talk about her on this site is shockingly disgusting. Seriously, what are they doing with their lives? I can think of several accounts that just trash her at every chance they get. My account is new, but I’ve been lurking around this site for a long time, checking in every once in a while

 

I feel like "theshaderoom" on ig has more respect and understands Britney more than the people on this site.

And she loves men that destroyed her mentally in the past. Justin, Eminem, Perez, her brother. She only hates Kevin and her dad cuz if she didn’t…

That explains a lot her relashionship with her mom and JL. Not that they didn’t do anything, but Bryan also did and he’s her bestie now. I’m glad she doesn’t have a daughter.
