Some fans force themselves anything... look her IG videos threads...

HMC is just lazy as hell, you can't barely hear Britney voice... she is almost a backing singer like she confirmed.

The voices are not good together and the only thing shocking is the producer, a really good producer, did that.

I don't think Elton asking for a feat is the reason HMC exists. I wonder what really happened to convince Britney to do this... money? Pressure? Or old vocals reused?

Hold Me Closer sounds like heaven! For some songs I remember exactly when and where I was the first time I heard it! It was a night leak, before I went on a date, It was so hot and hearing the demo version, hearing Britney's voice in this masterpiece made me so happy!

THE SONG IS AMAZING! I DON'T WANT TO DEBATE IT!

Nobody is forcing for anything, we all said Manjobi was trash when it was released so... What are you even talking about?:tina_judging_side_eye_glance_staring_looking_red:

Um, HMC literally plays everywhere, I heard it at Walmart like 2 days ago.

Anytime it comes on it genuinely sounds great imo.

She blends with Elton nicely and that bass guitar just makes you want to move your body.

On the scale of a "Toxic" or a "Gimme More," which are flawless 5/5 pop masterpieces, "Hold Me Closer" is a pathetic 2/5. i'd rate it that low. It's absolute garbage, just like "Ooh La La," "Pretty Girls," "Perfume," "Make Me," "Matches," "Mind Your Business"—all of these songs were horrendous and a blatant insult to Britney's legendary legacy. It's mind-boggling how the people in charge of her brand thought these songs suited Britney. They completely tarnished her discography with this trash. The triple consecutive punch of Blackout, Circus, and Femme Fatale was phenomenal and a perfect follow-up to Britney's early 2000s albums. Those eras showcased Britney at her best musically, proving she could evolve while still delivering hits .... Femme Fatale was so well produced  and then it all went downhill after that, the music was either mid, trash or didn't sound like a Britney song. I'd rather never hear new music from Britney again if it's going to sound like that garbage. Never again please.

If a had to make top 100 list of Britney's best songs (whether it's album tracks, demos, singles etc) Hold Me Closer would probably be at the bottom of the list...

I don't like this song, but I'm glad she recorded something in post-c-**** era.

Agreed, the song is dull. I hear it every once in a while at the grocery store or wherever and I just tune it out.

I’d go as far to say that Tom’s Diner is miles better and even then I’d say I only listen to it every once in a blue moon.

Not "gypsy woman" by hilary duff calling something generic
