She hasn't been in control of her legal counsel for many years up to recently.  Are you speaking of Laura Wasser?

In his defence, he seemed like a chill guy. Of all the men Britney has been with, he appeared relatively “level-headed.” Unlike Kevin, I think he genuinely looked out for her despite the chaos of her conservatorship. He was a big part of her life. There is no easy way to navigate that.
