I think Sam's outfit looks more like a fun Christmas outfit and Harry Styles outfit looks more like a stage performance outfit. It's different kind of outfits but with the same idea in mind. 

I also agree that Sam Smith wears most of the time outfit that are not flattering to him. Harry Styles too but not as much. 

Kim Petras is in my opinion the perfect exemple of how you can be a bit overweight, looking fabulous with fun outfits but also very hot. She slays everything she wears imo and she doesn't need to be a size zero for that ! :prettyney_britney_iggy_girls_bbma_2015_hair_flip_bounce:
