I remember this lol People dragging her because since it was Toxic, Xtina wouldn't turn around  It was weird that she was the only judge to not turn but hey, that's the point of multiple judges

I’m going based off the clip, reading the thread I didn’t know she was the only judge not to turn around and I barely heard the audio.

She didn't turn because the girl can't sing, not because it was Toxic. Xtina likes big voices.

Well, their music styles are vastly different. Christina has a powerhouse voice and probably expected the same from the contestants. What makes Melanie stand out is her style and her whispery tone though.

I just think Xtina likes vocalists. Melanie Martinez is more a singer-songwriter, and even her performance was definitely very singer-songwriter which is not a bad thing at all, just a completely different cup of tea for her. 

Objectively, Melanie was very off-key and flat in a lot of her performances. She has an undeniable charisma about her stage presence, but technically, I can see how Christina was turned off.
