Top 20 mechanics:

• Vote on the poll (that gives 1 point)
• Last week's Top 17 has an advantage: #1 song starts with 17 points, #17 starts with 1. (#18-#20 don't have an edge)
• Songs that didn't make it to the Top don't have an edge regardless of which position they ended, which by the way you can tell by the order on the poll (excluding new songs)
• Voting on the comments is the most important. You can now vote for up to 20 songs. Your #1 song will get 15 additional points, all the way down until your last song gets only 1 point. If you vote for 10 songs, your first song gets 10 points, etc.
• The 20 most voted songs on the poll will get a booster in the way of a comment vote known as "Exhalers' Vote"
• You can subtract a point to those songs already in the Top 20 by voting on the last question, and you can subtract an additional point by specifying in your comments.
• Ties are broken by weekly YouTube views (yes, YT views)

Other rules and explanations:

• Only two songs per artist will make the Top 20 at max, regardless of how many points the third or subsequent songs get in the end, so be wise with how many songs you nominate at the same time (i.e. when a new album comes out).
• Songs in the Exhaler's Vote (the 20 songs with the most votes from the poll) get to stay an extra week in the competition even if they don't make the final Top 20.
• You can suggest album tracks, but it's preferable to focus on singles. However, if an album track enters and eventually leaves the competition, but it's later released as a single or gets a music video, it can come back.
• If you have any other ideas to improve or make this more interesting, don't hesitate to tell me any suggestions.

So after double checking, I noticed that Hold Me Closer didn't last 8 but 9 weeks in the countdown. Looking back, it turns out ever since Harry Styles' As It Was, every song has lasted 9 instead of 8 weeks before retiring.

So, that actually was since Week 26, basically half of what this has lasted so I won't retroactively fix the songs that benefited from this extra week, but I do want to recognize a few songs that should've been retired, since they made the top on their eighth week but got eliminated on their ninth:

 

Retroactively Retired Songs:

• psychofreak - Camila Cabello: Should've retired at #15 on Week 26
• ADHD - Two Feet: Technically it shouldn't because it was #21 on Week 31, but it should've been #17 (Message in a Bottle rule)
• Vegas - Doja Cat: Should've retired at #19 on Week 34
• So Good - Halsey: Should've retired at #17 on Week 35
• Catch Me in the Air - Rina Sawayama: Should've retired at #14 on Week 37
• 2 Die 4 - Tove Lo: Should've retired at #18 on Week 42
• Beach House - Carly Rae Jepsen: Should've retired at #20 on Week 43
• XT4S1S - Danna Paola: Should've retired at #18 on Week 44
• I'm Good (Blue) - David Guetta and Bebe Rexha: Should've retired at #17 on Week 46

Other than this, it didn't affect more. The songs that got retired would've been retired anyways, just a week earlier. The songs that would've been eliminated got eliminated as well.

The songs that get eliminated at their fourth week didn't get affected either.

 

This will only give an extra week of points to those that lasted 9 weeks, but newer songs were gonna get more points anyways than the very first months when we didn't have Exhaler's votes or the comments votes were limited to 15 or 10?

 

The points will be calculated by average anyways, so those from Week 26 on, will be divided by 9, and prior to that by 8.

The remaining songs in the competition will also be divided by 8 since I already made the corresponding adjustments so they don't stay an extra week.
