January 25, 1989, Madonna inks 5 Million dollar sponsorship deal with Pepsi, only for that deal to turn sour in two months. Due to artistic controversy

Ahh! Madonna, love her or hate her.

There's not a Gray line.

In 1989 Madonna and Pepsi announced a massive sponsorship deal, worth 5 Million, inflation to today dollars would be 20 Million..

A video was gonna air during the super bowl, of Madonna watching a home video of her as a little girl saying make a wish, tracked to her new track Like a prayer.

The ad only aired once, cos the video premiered for the song

Featuring burning crosses, Madonna watching a crime happen and seeing an innocent man go to jail, stigmata, making out with a black jesus (been whitewashed, but that's a different story), by the end she reports they got the wrong guy and the criminals are still there..

The video has some youtubers saying it's 1989 but that's pretty woke considering Madonna showed true racism in that video and actually did the right thing by saying the wrong guy in jail.

But, I'll let this video explain the aftermath..

But, Madonna kept the money even though Pepsi cancelled the sponsorship deal for the tour.

That tour would be the blond ambition
