Tonight was supposed to be the #GLAADawards in Los Angeles, where Taylor Swift was set to be honored with "Vanguard Award".

This just proves Gay Icon has no more significance meaning anymore. It's like the queen word. Anybody can be a queen without earning it..

I hate when they say "Anti-LGBT" officials, just because you aren't the main priority doesn't mean you are hated.  Just sayin'.  Should we say LGBT is anti-child rights since they allow Desmond is Amazing to be abused?

IDK, do you own research.  We as gay people have made advances beyond what we thought we would - it's important to keep those and be watchdogs but the whole "anti-LGBT" just because they don't care which restroom you use - it's getting out of control and is counter productive.

I'm not saying that Trump is totally "anti-LGBT" cause I know the difference (trust me, I'm from Poland and our current government HATES the LGBT people left and right... + thanks to that our catholics officials are calling gay people names, even calling pro-LGBT people "the **** ideology... ) but still Trump is clearly not pro-LGBT, not even a little bit. Trying to catfish gay people from time to time is different than creating true equality for them through the law... + he is endorsing right-wing conservative people who are often openly saying that gay people should have no rights

I do agree - there are some people who are uber religious and against gay marriage but that has become a huuuuuge minority of people (mostly boomers) but if the LGBT community keeps marginalizing them from society then I think the hatred could build back up.

Not all gay people are Marxists and Socialists - I called nobody anything.  You brought it up and I defined it for you.  I love our community and I believe we have the capacity to think for ourselves.  I am not a Socialist or a Marxist, are you?

Seriously - some LGBT people get so pressed when I bring up children's rights.  I do not get it.  Do you know how many people are being saved from trafficking as we speak?  It's heartbreaking.

Also, I'm pretty sure I saw a statistic saying that support for the LGBT community (among young adults) has actually been declining for the first time in a long while, which is depressing, but also somewhat understandable.  This is also supported by the fact that 'LGB (Drop the T)' is on the rise too. People literally within the LGBT community are starting to disassociate themselves from it.  And I agree... We have a lot of problems within our community that need to be fixed ASAP, so I'm not surprised in the slightest people are becoming hostile towards us again.
