When did the GP turn on Britney?

After everything Brit went through in 2007, people rooted for her.. But not just that, she had substance.. People knew her story and were more forgiving of her limitations because she was an interesting survival figure who had fallen from grace and come back. 

That narrative has now been lost because:

- Her anxiety whilst filming X-factor meant she showed little personality or substance - GP started turning away at this point. She was boring and completely lacked any depth.

- BJ which promised to be more personal was less personal and of mediocre quality. 

- So much time has passed with her doing and saying nothing interesting - she has quite literally been going through the motions in Vegas.. and that's not enough to pique the interest of the public long term.

Glory is selling based on the moderate success of Make Me, and nostalgia for Britney of old.

The narrative that made her an interesting and captivating figure has been lost. Her beauty, voice and nostalgia aren't enough to sell millions. That's okay though - we need to remember that she's happier this way.

THIS. She always had mystery to her and depth. Thats why people were so obsessed with her because she was kinda a normal person that was just famous for being an entertainer and once she stepped off the stage, she was Britney. Nowadays with Beyonka and Rihanna and Ariana, it's different. First because of social media and always being able to see what they are up to. Also because they are always Ariana Grande or Beyonka. They have no depth or character to them. But also no social media has a bigger impact than you think. A big part of her fame was the tabloids and journalists and interviews. No one does this a lot anymore because of SOCIAL MEDIA. They put their lives on display in front of millions everyday so theres nothing to talk about. It's just a different world than 2001 or 2004, even 2008 or 11.
