‘The Powerpuff Girls’ are back, but this time around in human flesh! Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup return to the TV as the crimefighters we fell in love with long time ago. Chloe Bennet (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Dove Cameron(Descendants) and Yana Perrault (Jagged Little Pill) are set as the lead actresses. I personally can’t wait because I was so obsessed with this show as a child. I don’t know the actresses, but Blossom looks bomb - as it should be ‘cause it’s my favorite out of the three. Alexa play ‘Pretty Girls’ by Britney Spears because it would be the perfect soundtrack for the TV series. You will be watching, exhale?

one former cast member has revealed that pop superstar Britney Spears almost made an appearance on the long-running soap opera but “pulled out of it last minute” Speaking on Hobart’s Hit 100.9 with Dan & Christie, Christie Hayes claimed that the Toxic hitmaker was “a fan of Home and Away” when she was in the UK. “It was never on in America, but they said that she was a fan of watching Home And Away when she was in England, and she expressed interest to be on the show,” she said. The actress, who played Kirsty Sutherland in the series between 2000 and 2009, went on to say that the show’s producer held a meeting with the cast to hear their thoughts on Britney making a cameo. “Everyone said ‘yes’,” she recalled. “There was one person who was like, ‘Oh, probably not a great idea’ and that was Ray [Meagher], because he knew it would ruin the illusion of the show.” ‘I still remember the scene’ Christie said that the writers ended up including Britney in a small scene in the diner, and her character’s name was simply ‘Beautiful girl’. “I still remember the scene,” she said. “She was sitting down in the diner having a burger and the characters Nick and Seb, who were my friends on the show, we were all meant to just walk past her. “And they were going to check her out and be like, ‘Hey, what are you doing in Summer Bay?’ and then she was like, ‘Yeah it’s just a pretty town, I’m just dashing through’ and then that was going to be it. “I was going to be in the scene with her, it was scripted, but then she pulled out of it last minute because sadly 9/11 happened.” She added that although everyone was “so bummed” by the turn of events, it would have made “no sense” for her to appear on the show.

How I Met Your Mother co-creator Carter Bays has praised Britney Spears for her ‘delightful’ cameo in a classic episode of the show. While it’s been close to 10 years since the time-hopping series came to an end, it remains hugely popular amongst fans, and the so-called ‘Britney Spears Episodes’ remaining firm fan-favourites. The third season saw Gimme More singer Britney, who recently married long-term boyfriend Sam Asghari, play the role of dental receptionist Abby, a sweet, naive woman who falls head-over-heels for Ted (and gets caught up in Barney’s ruse in the process.) Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Carter recalled the ‘circus’ around her cameo and praised her for bringing ‘a ton of eyes’ to the relatively new show. ‘Having Britney was delightful,’ he said. ‘It was really cool.’ ‘There was such a circus around that when it happened, it was such a surprise and out of the blue!’ He explained how they had written the episode that introduced major new character Stella, played by Scrubs star Sarah Chawke, who would go on to become engaged to Ted. ‘Then we heard Britney Spears wants to be in this episode. And we thought “Britney Spears wants to play Stella? We’ve never seen her act before, this is a huge part, is she up to this?”‘ They then learned that Crossroads star Britney instead ‘wanted to play the smaller role, this character Abby who had maybe two scenes.’ ‘We were kind of surprised by this choice,’ he admitted, adding that he believes she ‘wanted to start small and dip her toes in the water.’ ‘But she came in and she really shone in those scenes and we brought her back for another episode. ‘It was wonderful,’ Carter said. ‘It brought a lot of eyes to the show.’ ‘We were doing okay in the ratings but we weren’t really exploding, and [Britney] brought a ton of new eyes to it. ‘I’m very thankful that happened to be an episode I was really proud of and that had a lot of funny stuff in it. It was a big turning point in the show, our audience grew sizeably that day.’ Asked if Britney was a fan of the series and had requested the part personally, Carter admitted he had ‘no idea,’ but ‘sometimes the phone rings and you take it and its like “Okay, I’m not going to look a gift horse in the mouth! “The most famous person in the world wants to be in our show, let’s do it.”‘ Britney’s episodes even included the scene Carter is most proud of out of the entire series: the two-minute date Ted uses to convince busy mum-of-one Stella to go out with him. ‘It’s such a great… showcase of how well everyone on the show did ther jobs, I was so proud of everyone,’ he told Metro.co.uk Source: https://metro.co.uk/2022/06/25/how-i-met-your-mother-creator-recalls-circus-of-britney-spears-cameo-16886475/

American Horror Story: Double Feature has unveiled the first trailer for its seaside mayhem in season 10. This year, co-creator Ryan Murphy and his team have divided up the season into two halves – Red Tide will unleash sea monsters and Death Valley beams down aliens. Red Tide will be shown first, with its twisted tale of struggling writer Harry Gardener (Finn Wittrock) and his wife Doris (Lily Rabe) moving to a seaside village to help him write his next book. The change in scenery and the eccentric locals inspire Harry to overcome his writer's block, but at a heavy cost as strange creatures begin to terrorise his family. "There's nothing more addictive than success," Frances Conroy's character warns. "You've tasted it, now. You're never going to be able to live without it." This first half of season 10 looks like everything a Horror Story fan could possibly want, as classic cast members Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare and Leslie Grossman all put a spin on the old saying "be careful what you wish for". Sarah Paulson is back too, looking almost completely unrecognisable in her brief appearance as a terrified villager known ominously as TB Karen. Denis O'Hare dropped some hints about what viewers can expect from his character in Red Tide when Digital Spy spoke to him this year. "He is pretty different. He's not a main driver of action – because I came in late," he revealed. "And he's definitely got some comic relief aspect, which I love. He's very funny, I think. I have great costumes. I have wonderful costumes. I'm really excited about that. "I was shooting a scene with Evan Peters, and I just had a couple of great lines. It's a great joy to watch that, during the take, he was cracking up. And I was like, 'I love that. Source American Horror Story premieres August 25 on FX in the US

Dear everyone, I have been roaming around Breatheheavy for years in Ghost Mode. Finally decided to start my first topic about a show that is dear to my heart and I am sure, to many other gays on here. I have no idea how this works as I’m writing this from my phone so a little indulgence please 😁 https://www.instagram.com/p/CLHjMmghiA9/?igshid=ytwc3jsv7s6f I came cross Charisma Carpenter’s (aka Cordelia Chase) Instagram post about the abuse she suffered on the set of both ´Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Angel’. It saddens me to know that the creator of my favorite show of all time, a show about female empowerment, is low-key an abuser and misogynist d#ck. (can’t believe I actually manage to insert this.) Hoping to connect with my fellow Buffy fans and maybe start socialising wether it’s here or on Instagram. Much love to you all.
