American Horror Story: Double Feature Part 1: Red Tide - Official Trailer - Season 10

American Horror Story: Double Feature has unveiled the first trailer for its seaside mayhem in season 10.

This year, co-creator Ryan Murphy and his team have divided up the season into two halves – Red Tide will unleash sea monsters and Death Valley beams down aliens.

Red Tide will be shown first, with its twisted tale of struggling writer Harry Gardener (Finn Wittrock) and his wife Doris (Lily Rabe) moving to a seaside village to help him write his next book.

The change in scenery and the eccentric locals inspire Harry to overcome his writer's block, but at a heavy cost as strange creatures begin to terrorise his family.

"There's nothing more addictive than success," Frances Conroy's character warns. "You've tasted it, now. You're never going to be able to live without it."

This first half of season 10 looks like everything a Horror Story fan could possibly want, as classic cast members Evan Peters, Denis O'Hare and Leslie Grossman all put a spin on the old saying "be careful what you wish for".

Sarah Paulson is back too, looking almost completely unrecognisable in her brief appearance as a terrified villager known ominously as TB Karen.

Denis O'Hare dropped some hints about what viewers can expect from his character in Red Tide when Digital Spy spoke to him this year.

"He is pretty different. He's not a main driver of action – because I came in late," he revealed. "And he's definitely got some comic relief aspect, which I love. He's very funny, I think. I have great costumes. I have wonderful costumes. I'm really excited about that.

"I was shooting a scene with Evan Peters, and I just had a couple of great lines. It's a great joy to watch that, during the take, he was cracking up. And I was like, 'I love that.

Something else that bothers me is the fact that Lizzie McGuire wasn't given the reboot for Disney+, but American Horror Story can be streamed on Disney+... makes sense

It's not on Disney+ in America. It's on FX/Hulu.

The showrunner quit the Lizzie McGuire reboot after they filmed 2 episodes. It was possible it could have moved to Hulu like Love Simon was in the US, but there can't be a show when the showrunner quit... So Disney dropped it.

This is the first teaser for AHS after fans waited from not having AHS last year. It's very exciting to have it back. You don't give away the kills/plot in a freaking trailer.

That's not true.  Disney+ refused to let Lizzie reboot air on Hulu. The show runner and Hilary begged to have it air on Hulu since Disney wanted it to have a PG rating but Team Lizzie knew it wouldn't be authentic to the character as a PG show since Lizzie is now 30. Disney didn't drop the project because there was no show runner. They replaced her and Hilary eventually felt the direction the show was going isnt real and left. It was NEVER possible for the show to air on Hulu.

Also after the first season of Love, Victor which had teens drinking, after that disney+ season, it's known the second season includes ***ual scenes between the characters, they know it now an Hulu original so they can push the envelope tastefully.  They just take off the shirts and then go two hours later with messy hair, implying they hooked up somewhere in public as most gay male youth do. 

 

@Jordan Miller love victor actually is much more adult after the tamed first season.

I was shocked to see a full on top/bottoming scene in the second season where Victor's mom caught them. I mean it's realistic but I didn't think hulu would show that. Sooo come on, Disney please show Lizzie McGuire walking in on her man effing a girl. I need the Lizzie reboot. I was too little for S3x and the City, so I thought this Lizzie reboot would be my adult guide series like SATC was.

I agree that the last seasons were a little underwhelming… mostly because they were to long, in my opinion! But I think the trailer looks promising …

I definitely will watch it and melt away because of Evan Peters

I guess I'm excited but these past seasons were so disappointing... Look at Asylum and Coven, they are masterpieces, extremely smart written, interesting, twisted as hell, taboo, the plot makes sense, we are connected to characters.

The problem with new season is that it doesn't really take us to these new worlds. We don't get to know them. It's hard to be excited about them. It's all so boring and predictable.  

It kinda died when Jessica Lange left, not gonna lie.

The first episode set and the third episode were good, in the context of this series. It is just kinda corny, though. I wish the horror/plot was bone chilling like Asylum.

That is nothing but speculation. Show me a source for literally anything you said. They never found a new showrunner... if so, who was it?
