He’s always supporting new artists and I love that. Not many legends will do that for an artist that’s just starting out. A lot of legends seem like the newbies have to prove themselves worthy of their co-sign.

I saw this and I was like so this is elton john and chappell roan getting to be interviewed together probably due to a collab they are doing? But he's actually the interviewer here.

Yeah I remember when Gaga came out, he was so supportive of her and her talent. Most recently, I’m not sure if you’re familiar with Stephen Sanchez but he heard his music (it’s very 50’s/60’s inspired) and became a mentor to him. Even gave him the opportunity to play one of his farewell shows and at a huge festival just so he could have the experience and keep doing this thing because Elton really believes in him. I love that he nurtures new talent and isn’t threatened about newbies coming in and being a success.

Chappell Roan is what I would associate with the term ‘Gay Pop’.

Not some trash reality tv star.
