Eh, she’s cute but I wouldn’t call it a ballad version. You can’t leave it at the same BPM and call it a ballad version just because you took out the driving beat. 
 

Also, the music never goes anywhere…I mean, it’s cute.

Agreed. The chord progressions are in the wrong key and it’s really jarring. The cadences are off. 
 

Her vocals save this. 
 

It’s a great idea, but I think if you stick to the original key of the song it will make it sound much more official, rather than just an acapella over a random piano baseline.
