Accounts that haven't been active for years should be automatically deleted

Today I wanted to change my username but someone else had that name

So I went to their account and found out they haven't been active for 10 years

That’s me. I was surprised my login worked, but I’m glad it did. I came back after a 10 year break because of Britney’s testimony.

Put usernames up for auction to raise revenue!  Members interested in claiming another username can make a submission, and you can notify the inactive member via the email address they signed up with and inform them that someone wants to claim their username. If you don’t get a response in 30 days, then voila… username can be transferred by royal decree!

additionally, if youd be doing dizz, you should warn members that "if you don't log in for 2 years" for example "your account would be deleted". itdbe superlame, imo

its a good quality and sign of trust for people that their account WILL BE kept

plus, there is no limit to usernames you can create, the limit simply wont happen. USE YOUR IMAGINATION peepz!

I guess this would make sense for accounts that reach a specific amount of time without visiting. I wouldn't say short periods like 2-5 years but 10 would be reasonable to free up space

All jokes aside, this is a actually the best solution shared in this thread. I hope that Jordan sees this, a very creative suggestion from an incredibly brilliant and talented Exhale member.

You can send them all email that you miss them and if they not login in one month, their account will be deleted.
