It was a huge craze in the 90s for people who refuse to work out and want the process to go faster instead of regular results. It was hugely popular in the 90s. Especially among women. 

 

It caused weight loss via diarrhea and constant bathroom trips. Doctors finally came out and said it was extremely unhealthy. But the FDA approved it and said otherwise.
