In 2013 During probably one of idol's lowest points ever. I still have no idea what made them think it was okay to put Nicki and Mariah Carey on the same show. They did release a remix to up out my face. 

 

But man Nicki kept getting attacked. And Keith Urban tried to be the mediator. But with Jackson's close friendship to Mimi herself from Musical director to executive producing her 2010 Christmas album. Nicki really had no one to defend her.

 

Especially since Anaconda came close to peaking at #1 on the hot 100.

Irony. Mimi had a #1 single in 2019 and 2020. Even used that song as shade to Nicki. When it came to iconic songs and fast food songs.
