Question: According to Billboard, Britney Sold 140 Million Records WW...

...So where did the other 40 million came from  People been saying since 2011-2014 or somewhere around that time saying that she sold 100 WW, so my question is, where did the 40 million came from. I mean don't get me wrong I'm loving it McDonald's style, cause that means shes closer to 200 WW  I just wanna know what you guys think

Britney has sold near or over 100m albums ( a much more impressive feat than records, notably)

Record-wise I *think Britney is somewhere over 200m

Records are individual sales from an artist, i.e. singles, downloads, and streams (depending on the current rules)

Album sales are King. They are simply actual album units moved, but now the rules changed and streaming is converted into "equivalent album sales" It's rapidly changing how they measure sales

Her certifications are outdated but she's probably at 100 million albums with SPS and 100 million singles so about 200 million records.
