This was bound to happen since it's her 1st time performing at the VMAs in 9 yrs!

Of course she's nervous every artist is always nervous before any & every performance ... Idc if you are Beyonce Madonna or Diana Ross

She's the Queen of VMAs but it doesn't matter who she is,like you said.She needs to be nervous,this is the good feeling of her job.That means she still love to do it...She's not in panic or freaked out like the tabloids said.She just has butterflies i believe 

I don't know what they want from her or why are they trying to make her feel bad..She's an awesome person
