Starbucks is ringing in summer with a Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino, its first new limited time flavor in more than three years. The new menu item taps into the trend of customers "turning to nostalgic flavors inspired by past experiences" including fairs and amusement parks, the chain said in a statement. The Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino blends strawberry puree and a whipped cream swirled with funnel cake flavors, which is then topped with powdered sugar funnel cake pieces. The drink, which goes on sale Tuesday, is part of Starbucks' summer menu that also includes a unicorn-shaped cake pop. Source

Hey guys! So I was wondering what you guys like to get at Starbucks? It can be coffee, tea, food, etc. My favorite drink in the Fall is the Pumpkin Spice Latte. During the summer I usually get the strawberry açaí refresher (or the Pink drink). There’s also the venti vanilla bean frappuccino with raspberry syrup and frap chips blended in, topped with whipped cream and extra caramel. What do you guys order?

Coronavirus wreaks havoc on both small and large businesses. Although Starbucks was permitted to remain open during the pandemic (drive-through only), they projected a loss in the billions, or around a 45% drop in sales. As a result, they're closing 400 stores in North America. ~200 in the US, and ~200 in Canada. That's to be expected I guess? People weren't/aren't leaving their homes for weeks. I feel like Starbucks can bounce back from this.

Update: Starbucks decided to reverse their decision. Employees CAN wear clothing related to the Black Lives Matter movement. In fact, they're designing a BLM shirt for employees to wear. "This movement is a catalyst for change, and right now, it's telling us a lot of things need to be addressed so we can make space to heal," Starbucks said announcing the new T-shirt design. This is how a company should handle things They see outrage because of this wrong decision, (though they were trying to protect their employees from potential threats), then made immediate change. Below is the new T shirt design: Earlier: It's a controversial day for Starbucks. Following the news they are closing 400 stores in North America, the company is under fire for not allowing their employees to wear anything related to Black Lives Matter. In a memo obtained by Buzzfeed News, corporate said wearing clothing and accessories that support or highlight the Black Lives Matter could be misunderstood and potentially incite violence. The memo pointed employees to a now-deleted video which its VP of inclusion and diversity explained that "agitators who misconstrue the fundamental principles" of the movement and could use them to "amplify divisiveness." The notice follows Starbucks public support of the Black Lives Matter movement on social media. It's worth pointing out Starbucks previously allowed employees to wear symbols related to gay pride.
