I think it’s just coming down to this at this point. Breezy adult contemporary pop is not sticking for her (the writing on the wall can be traced back to Unconditionally flopping). Electric and Daisies are cute, but something like Never Really Over is what the public actually want.

This! Her branding is so confusing/contradictory. How is it that she released some of her most vulnerable and mature music almost a decade ago... I'm looking at you, Skyscraper. I will say, though, that Cool For The Summer still sounds fresh in 2021.
