I was thinking about this too. I dont think he was paid off or threatened off. I think they knew this case was in the works before he left and that justice was going to be served another way. I honestly think Brit just didnt want to lock up her family.

I’d be very glad to be wrong. I still hold some hope. It’d be very poetic if Britney got a little bit of justice through this case without having to re-traumatize herself with multiple court proceedings and having to testify in front of her abusers.
