Britney “The Show” Demo: Thoughts

I actually really like it. It’s very off kilter and I feel like it would fit the “circus” vibe well, along with other zany tracks like Mmm Papi, Mannequin, and Phonography.

Right, it’s definitely reminiscent of ITZ, but in a quirkier sort of way. I actually expressed in my topic how Britney could potentially release the song now, & it’d make a great single, imo.

It’s nothing special I’ve heard way better references that deserved an album cut

I can definitely agree with your opinion, although I also envision the potential of this song with Britney’s voice on it, as a new single. Not necessarily for the GP, but for fans.

It's a dancehall song. I like the beat but it's missing a strong melody. I don't think it fits the Circus album at all.

I see what you mean, although the lyrics could always be altered, & the topic was also in regard to Britney recording the song now, & releasing it as a single. I think it would be amazing.

I feel like despite the album being called Circus the tracks aren't very circus-y

the lead single isn't even Circus :slowdown_down_cardib_b_cardi_um_fast_confused_what_stare:

I see your point, but the topic was about Britney recording the song now, & making it a single. In that sense, I think it would be a great choice.

TBH, “Manjobi” couldn’t hold a candle, & I’m certain everyone else knows that.

It's a blatant rip-off of M.I.A's Galang...

I hear the similarities, although I still believe it’d make a great Britney single, imo. Very reminiscent of ITZ, which came out before “Galang” even happened —but I definitely get what you mean.

I'd love if she ever collaborated with MIA or Diplo in that style, but rather on something original
