Selena Gomez officially reaches billionaire status

Being a billionaire is not necessarily indicative of paying your workers poorly. I haven’t read the article, so forgive me if I’m wrong in regard to Selena, but I think there’s some confusion as to how a billionaire is classified. To start off, nobody actually has a billion dollars in their account. The billion number comes from the estimated values of their combined assets like their companies, homes, etc. In Selena’s case, being part owner of the extremely successful Rare Beauty is probably why her number is so high.
