Britney Spears' relationship with her sons is heading in a good direction. In a statement to ET, an attorney for Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, gave an update on where things stand between the singer and her kids.

"Reconciliations and the reunification of relationships are difficult and take time. They are sometimes complicated and always a lengthy process. The process has not really commenced, let alone [been] completed," Mark Vincent Kaplan, Kevin's powerhouse attorney, told ET of Britney's relationship with Sean Preston, 18, and Jayden James, 17.

"The good thing is that the boys saw their mom was doing well and have a desire to speak with her," he added. "There has been some telephonic communication between Britney and her sons, and we think that is a step in the right direction."

For now, ET has been told that the boys are living with their dad in Hawaii, a move that Britney consented to last year. Britney has not visited their kids yet, ET has learned.

I'm sure they're all wishing Britney well since Jayden's child support is ending in a few months how is K Flop's attorney going to get paid.

Also, strange the boys think Britney is doing well right now when she's with Paul the criminal housekeeper. It all seems so manufactured, Failed reunion with Lynne so let's insert Bryan and all of a sudden since the C Ship case is over, they're circling Britney like the WB sharks.

Totally! Suddenly they don't care how "bad" their mother is and they love her "sooo" much. I wonder when that realization of that deep love came?
