"In the case of Britney, you don't think your family would do that to you? Go along with it? I really think people were scared of getting mur***ed.

Putting all the blame on her family will never dismantle the power network that enable all this horrific abuse to occur while regular people can't pay rent. The concentration of power and corruption is beyond right now."

i think in general everyone just took advantage.

lou had the idea, the family enabled and benefited. same with the music industry, court appointed lawyers, collaborations, exes, etc.

they all benefited from it happening and this is why no one stopped it. so they all casually let it happened.

britney was raised in a dysfunctional home where abuse was the norm and she was groomed. she allowed it to happen cause it’s all she knew and they all masked it as love.

their abusers probably had a similar upbringing and were just doing what they knew to do as well. as i truly believe her dad really thought this was “the right thing” typical narcissist. they truly believe their own lies.

they all benefited from the abuse and all pretended it wasn't their fault. the “crazy” narrative was beneficial for them all. and seeing how we all kept consuming the product they realized there was a lot of money to be made (this happened during the circus tour when it was still “temporary” and they got a taste of the money to be made and the rest is history)

or at least it’s how i see it.

so from what I understand... the c-ship was part of something bigger?

The podcast basically talks about how it was en entire network of people that enabled it.

In 2007, Britney had fully rebeled. You could see it in the way she was living her life and even her music videos.

There was fear she was going to retire and be done with the music industry.

"They" did not want that. She was far too young and seen as a money machine that shouldn't stop.

The music industry is a small network with relationships that intertwine.

Irving Azoff, the most powerful/feared man in the music industry (who was also Lou Taylor's mentor) both worked with MCA decades ago where they became acquainted. Lou Taylor became well acquainted with P Diddy during the 1990s as well.

Azoff’s departure with MCA shortly in the late 1980s is interesting because a lot of scandals were going on at MCA at the time. The facts of which have never fully been disclosed. There were multiple federal investigations that involved MCA’s ties to the mafia.

The Department of Justice investigations were largely squashed, but there were some MCA convictions including Morris Levy and Sal “The Swindler” Pisello.  An investigation into MCA included that of the Vice President of the Home Entertainment Division Eugene F. Giaquinto. This investigation was publicly announced in December 1988 and Giaquinto was quickly suspended from his position at MCA.

Irving Azoff conveniently stepped down from MCA during this time.

Additionally, prior to Britney's conservatorship, Jamie Spears was working for the Maloofs as a chef.

The Maloof family owns the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. Days after the conservatorship was put in place, Britney was seen with George Maloof and it was rumored they went out on a few dates. According to what's said in the podcast, the Maloofs wanted Britney to headline Las Vegas. This didn't happen until 5 years later but plans were in motion and eventually it was revealed that the contract for Vegas said Britney had to be in a conservatorship.
