it is a *** **** travesty the way Ciara just flew under the radar in the states throughout the 00's... She served hit after hit, killer choreography, stunning videos.... it's criminal. 

Her last album, first on her own label, was epic.

Ciara lost her niche and she's a great example of not having direction as her own artist. She attempted to change too quickly and strayed away from what really worked for her. Only a handful of music lovers really listened to her music after she started flopping (see pages 1-2 of this thread)

Someone mentioned Tinashe and it was the exact same thing, except it was Tinashes label who pushed her to change. Ciara's downfall was her own.

Not even just style and genre, she started to sing differently and her voice is already limited and it just showed its flaws more. Her lower tone worked better for her. Her swag during the Goodies era rivaled TLC, which is something many artist tried and failed to do for years. She had her own lane and self destructed as soon as she tried to jump into the lanes of her rivals who all had better songwriters and teams behind them.

Her sound was very American. Rihanna on the other hand had global appeal so naturally listeners favored her. 
 

I do like me a few Ciara tracks especially from her first ever album Goodies. Girl was EVERYWHERE.

Britney's Instagram is infamous though.  She's widely ridiculed nearly every day actually. Ciara aint seen the top 10 of the Billboard 100 in 15 years but she's the envy of every involuntarily single woman out there and she just hosted Ellen. Both are GOATs anyway despite what the GP thinks is what I'm saying
