@JordanMiller can tell you. Dua lipa will end up like kylie minogue..a cult status in the US. The only one to blame is the pandemic got in the way. She's in the UK. So she's focusing on the market that's already established for her due to the lockdown. 

 

Nothing can save it for the US.

Rihanna was already huge in the US. Thx to jay Z. Her second album gave us her first #1 single with  SOS. Followed by Unfaithful and break it off with sean Paul. 

 

I will admit her third album was her international breakthrough. But Rihanna was big in the state's before international success came thx to being part of jay z and his crew of executives

I was just referring to something @OnlyFactssaid in another thread.  Since you mentioned it, though, I could take or leave Nicki.  I love some of her stuff while other stuff is meh.  The same goes for the way she acts sometimes.  However, put on some ‘Bottoms Up’ and it’s on!
