This is true. Many here are likely not old enough to know that Britney emerged in the middle of the grunge era, which existed as a polar opposite of preppy/popular/pop personalities. She was everywhere, hugely popular, and it was also hugely popular to hate her just because she was the pretty “it girl” who didn’t sing or play an instrument.

That never went away. That isn’t new, either.

Ummm I wish that Snapchat would have made a WB filter instead of the One with the G eazy song. It’s ok I just snapped me singing WB w/ my favorite filter in my PJs to all my friends. I’m sick so I couldn’t do anything tonight not that I would have wanted to miss seeing this anyway

pretty sure most of comments i saw on my twitter were good. yeah she probably shouldn't have been chewing gum but oh well. she looked great, dancing was good, and the only problem is that she is once again singing work ***** (as if it was a massive hit) when she could be doing new music. at least toxic has now become a classic.

A brand new single and performance.. To lead us into 2018. They could've got that mass crowd capture we need for the queen, but that's okay maybe in the future.. But I had envisioned like an entire year of a new album release a tour in the US or world tour on a smaller scale.. Then next year and year after that have a couple babies and a little break. We know she wants more kids.. hmmm anyways Happy New Year britney fans

and honestly at least we still get to see her on tv. other people, in her genre and around her age, like christina and jessica we haven't seen in a long time. good for brit to keep it going. i  for sure am not gonna complain about another televised performance.
