Who actually has/owns unreleased Britney material?

I am guessing it isn't Britney herself? Is it the producers? Her Label? The songwriters?

 

My guess is the label owns it because they are the ones paying for it.. but I wonder if there is something in the contract about if they don't release the rights revert back.

Ownership belongs to whoever owns the master, which could be britney but could also be rca. That all depends on her current and past contracts. If not she could always purchase them but  that could be pricey and difficult.

As for who has material, a fair guess would be anyone/everyone who worked on it.

i wonder if there is any reason a previous label of hers doesnt try to make a quick buck by releasing unreleased tracks ?

I always wondered who owns Britney's masters; whether its her or her label.
