It's actually a bit complicated.

So Jason Trawick was her agent at CAA. Then he became her boyfriend. Then he became her fiancee. Then he became her conservator.

At some point, he left CAA and began working for a promotions company called Famos. During the FF tour, Jason became her promoter/publicist/manager (of sorts) and the company would run little contests offering goodies during the FF tour, such as appearing on stage with her.

Somebody else can probably straightening me out on the order of events, but basically, at one point Famos told the fanbase there was a big surprise coming...but then it never happened. (Sound familiar?!)

Britney and Jason eventually broke up. I'm not sure what happened to Famos, but the "Famos surprise" continues to be a running joke among fans.

Exatcly.

If im not wrong they posted right after the Femme Fatale last concert that they had a big surprise Britney related after the tour and after that they just disappeared.

I think Jason probably just moved on to X Factor after the FF tour and began focusing all of his energies on that.

Who knows if there was ever a Famos surprise to begin with?

Isn't it strange how easily someone can become one of Britney's team/manager/conservator? 

I mean Sam Lufti then Jason Trawick, and basically any of her boyfriends could? Given the extremely cautious they are, I thought they wouldn't let anyone besides her father and Larry manage her career/life.

Jamie was always a co-conservator.

But yes, the scenario is awfully strange. You'd think they'd wait until after they were married? Perhaps Jason wanted to get a taste of what it was actually like before taking the leap?
