This song was such a bop. It was fun and just crazy to dance to.

She even performed it at the FFT (second song i believe?)

Like that has to be one of her fave's of the album since it was one of the songs she did not have to perform and she chose to.

Like the video could have been in the style of womanizer and toxic with many characters.

I always picture it like a crazy britney in prison, with her hair somewhat wet and her orange uniform cut off like a crop top and her pants to be cut off 

She could have been serving some Harley Quinn reallness.

Then the overall plot is her chasing her cheating ex boyfriend/or a guy she is obsessed with through some crazy **** costumes and scenerios. 

Like this type of video would have been the perfect and def a the best way to continue that toxic/womanizer saga

Maybe Britney wanted Up N' Down to be a single but her team didn't let her be as usual

The FF era was a mess, but the album is by far her most underrated album when it comes to her fans. It's one of her best works.

You mean her label, they have final say on singles

 

Also Britney generally gets her way with singles or at least she did with Jive she pushed for Toxic, Everytime, MATM, and TTWE and got her way.

I think that a mediocre song like Up & Down can't stay even in the same sentence with Toxic that is a masterpiece 

 

Neither with Womanizer that is a really good song

I don't agree. Not that I don't like Up N Down, but Womanizer and Toxic has dark and syntpop-esque or synthpop-ish kinda thing in themselves (are there such adjectives? well **** that and then me) But I think it should have been a single
