One more reason to hate (or love) the VMA's performance

The shadows were AMAZING! Like others have said, the first half of the performance is GREAT, it's just so artsy-fancy and Britney is there ALONE, something I've been wanting to see for years now

like nnnnnnnnn OP didn't see the people behind the screen in the official video from MTV? The fact it "looked so real" is props to the dance troupe tbh

Her costume colour, on the other hand, clashed with the lighting and looked cheap as hell. And whoever allowed that should be fired.

I think Britney herself did an amazing job, but Silent House Productions dropped the ball in a big way. That performance landed like a THUD in the public consciousness. Everyone's being nice to Britney right now because they want her to do well, but the GP and media aren't going to extend that goodwill forever.

If they had have continued this look right through to the VMA's, think how differently that performance would read...

I get that they were going for artsy with the shadow puppets...but that aesthetic wasn't followed through with her costume or the dancer's costumes. 

Maybe the costume was a last minute change...but it made the difference between the performance hitting the mark, and the performance coming across messy.

I honestly think it adds a unique little touch to it

People can think what they want of it but I just think its pretty cool and it was already obvious that it was people so why bother make a thread about something we already knew about. But I should remember that that's exhell logic so
