No more Blu-Ray/DVD's for albums?

I don't know if this is just general now, but why did they stop manufacturing DVD's ? I know that the internet platform changed a lot the industry, but i'm sure mostly fans would buy it. Why are they so lazy? Or at least Apple could create something like a DVD digital store or something, make it more entertaining than only get the brutal file with horrendous 2005 rendering
