Do digital albums (iTunes) count as physical albums on the Billboard chart?

I'm not from US and I pre-ordered Glory on iTunes but does, it count as 1 album? I mean, how many digital albums are the equal of physical albums? Or is it the same?

and do iTunes albums count as US sales since well, iTunes (apple) is an American company?

Can somebody answer this? I want this to debut at #1 so we can keep the record
