Legal bills in Britney's conservatorship illustrate just how costly this legal restraint is for Britney (and lucrative for those in power). The NY Times' Liz Day shares a breakdown, citing court docs. Via her Tweets: – "$18K a month for Jamie Spears, the person tasked with overseeing his daughter's $ as conservator of the estate. He "keeps current" on the music biz, communicates with experts in "analyzing investment strategies" & says his intention has always been to act in B's best interest" – "Holland & Knight: roughly $1.5M for the last 8 months, including over $500K for "media matters" including a former member of Congress who charged $1,285 an hour" – "- The Freeman firm, which employs Jamie's longtime lawyers Geri & Jeryll, billed $700K+ for the last 20 months" – "- $21K+ for Sidley Austin (Last year, Britney's CAC objected to Sidley allegedly billing Britney the cost of a cease & desist letter sent on behalf of Lou Taylor)" – "Russ August & Kabat (RAK) working on behalf of "a business entity wholly owned by the Conservatorship through which certain of Mr. Spears’ business matters are transacted" billed $360K+ fr April 2019 to today, including for media work that got 'a delayed and improved publication'" In her June 23rd testimony, Britney stated "it’s been a long time since I’ve owned my money." Not Vivian billing over $1000 an hour and claiming almost 120 hours. No wonder she loves Daddy Jamie… He’s her sugar daddy. Using his daughters money. Fücking gross! EDIT: Liz posted more legal fee information. Related:
