is k-pop group raNia / blackswan korea’s Britney?

raNia is a 2011 k-pop girl group 🤭 however, the group shares very striking similarities 2 britney, even a situation involving Larry Rudolph

4 one, raNia had a very **** & explicit image 🤭 korea was NOT ready 4 this, & they actually had 2 release a censored version of their debut single Dr. Feel Good as well as a censored music video 2 air on the music shows 🤭 a lot of raNia’s criticisms were similar 2 the britney era’s, of how the stars should be role models 

2, raNia’s goal was 2 be a kpop girl group that debuted both in Korea & The USA, so, they hired producer & creative direction Teddy Riley, who produced 4 Lady Gaga, but Teddy left shortly after bc the company DR. MUSIC didn’t give him any control 😭 even with Teddy leaving, the group gained some international success bc of their promotion deal with MTV

3, the group sadly suffered from the same management issues as Britney. over their 11 active years, they have had 26 DIFFERENT MEMBER CHANGES 💀 not only that, 4 their big debut album it was 2 be a huge English/Korean moment with features from Snoop Dogg, 2 Chainz, & Lil Wayne as well as their own MTV show. however, they hired manager LARRY RULDOLPH, & with the already terrible management from their label the album crashed & burned 😭

4 is mistreatment. the idols were mistreated by their label, which caused a lot of very talented idols. Jooyi is a great example, she was compared 2 have Christina Aguileira like vocals & was able 2 do pretty falsettos, but they lost her bc they barely payed her 😭 (luckily she’s now a talented producer) the worst example is Alex, who made headlines as the 1st African American K-Pop idol in a  big group 🥰 however, Alex was terribly mistreated. she wasn’t allowed 2 dance with the other members, was more treated as a featured artists, & when she join they added a “BP” 2 the raNia name bc of her “very black skin“ 😭 alex also was never told when was practice 

the group has since rebranded as black swan, & has made headlines 4 having an African American member (Fatou) as well as a Brazilian member.

apparently it is but the wiki also listed kiss & make up as a Britney demo, so i would take it with a grain of salt 🤭

but breathe heavy does sound like a glory song, so who knows 🤭
