Ok, so I totally just realized how huge a deal Britney's VMA performance on sunday is for the GENERAL PUBLIC.  (For us Britney fans too, but we already know that)

It seems in their eyes, that the 2007 VMAS is the like the stamp of her downfall and that now this sunday they are hoping she that stamp out of the water.

I feel like media outlets/gp are comparing 2007 with now. in their minds:

2007: lazy, no dancing, lip-sync

2016: lots of energy needed, comfortable movements and live singing.

I've got a horrible feeling that if she lips they're just gonna see it as a fail.
