  1. Thanks god tho. Geez, everything needs to be a political statement these days.

  3. Brit doesn't need to come out as a feminist, because she doesn't care about your boring politics.

  4. Britney would have cut it on the way to her seat

  5. She probably never thought she would be singing in front of 10k people again.. Good for her. This may not be her best tour and she is rusty, but Im enjoying seeing her this happy. Its refreshing.

  6. she probably isn't educated on the subject nor currently able to articulate her views.

  8. I wish Britney interacted like this with her fans. Im happy for her! Her fans must be so happy that shes touring again

  9. It's her personal choice. But tbh Britney is one of the biggest feminist icons there is imo. Being a feminist means doing whatever you want to do regardless of your female gender, which Britney did. I think her life speaks for itself.

  10. I miss when all pop music didnt have the same trap beat

  11. They are so specially crafted, I miss decent pop music like this. Nothing is this special anymore :/ People complain about new choreography not being as good as earlier works, well, there's not much to dance to nowadays, no special sounds and fills like in these. Bring something like this back for b10 brit, we beg you

  12. I used to see threads or posts mentioning this song, particularly during the time we were waiting for the possible second single which later turned out to be SP. As I miss those days, I wanted to write about it. "Better" has been my favourite song in the Glory album ever since my first listen. I think it would have been great as a single and perfect for a music video featuring colorful dance scenes "Better" is also special for me because it made me like uptempo songs without a chorus part (Before listening to "Better", I had been just skipping such songs by other singers) Do you agree that this song stands out in the Glory album? Do you still listen to it?

  13. Trip to Your Heart should've been the 5th single Actually, I think FF had the potential to be extended way into 2012, before the X Factor, with at least a couple of singles more. Criminal wasn't a strong song, but it was the first time she looked decent in a music video, probably since Radar. They should've taken advantage of this less sedated Britney and release more videoclips before she was gone again. TTYH, Up 'n Down, Selfish, Scary, Inside Out, even How I Roll or Trouble for Me, there were many potential bops that still sounded fresh by 2012. I don't know if it's the same with all the artists, but at least with Britney, I think this attitude or logic of scrapping the entire era the moment ONE single flops, has been their ruin. Ok, not their ruin because they still have somewhat success, but I've always found so stupid this reasoning of scrapping the other dozen of songs the album has left just for one single that isn't a hit (most of the times because of their own fault). Criminal was an ok song, I mean, it was Max Martin, and the video was really nice, but it got blocked on YT. No live performance, no promotion, of course it was gonna flop. Why not release then right away another club banger like the first three singles, to try to erase that stain that Criminal left? I don't know if it's Britney, her team, the record label, or who decides like, "this is it, it's over". Or they just let the time pass without any of the parts actually saying anything until after a considerable amount of time, everyone just assumes the era is over, or what. Maybe that's the part of the music industry model that I don't understand, but I see like, you have a collection of items you're selling at a store, but they're all very varied, and you pick one to feature it, and put it on display, and it doesn't sell well, and then without even thinking twice, you just scrap the whole collection, and move on to the next project, without thinking, that peeerhaaaps another item from your collection could've attracted people to buy more of your stuff. I understand when there's albums like that Prism record by Katy Perry I listened ONLY once, and you hear song after song and you never know when a song starts or finishes because they all sound the same. "Cohesive" they say If she released a song of them, and flops, I agree there's no point in releasing another one, if they all sound the same. But Britney's records are always so varied, and the singles we've had don't represent the entire albums most of the times. It's incredible the amount of songs Britney's team had wasted throughout the years. So many rhythms and genres that Britney has explored and that the general public will never know she has. If Criminal flopped, or Perfume or Slumber Party, in all the cases there were 15 other songs, totally different, that could've probably done the trick. Circus, FF, you name it. BRITNEY JEAN!! They could've gone for the club bangers if they wanted to, or go urban, or go classic Britney with songs like Alien or Passenger, or release more ballads like Don't Cry and Hold on Tight. Heck, they could've even hit Christian radio stations with Brightest Morning Star. They literally just had to take a chance and release whatever they wanted to, but instead, they just let the album die. And I won't even start with Glory. And I'm not speaking just as a fan, I think even as a business point of view, there must be some kind of term in Economic Sciences for not taking advantage of what you produce. If I was a big record label eager of money, I would squeeze till the last drop of money to each and every song that my artists record. Upload lyric videos, send songs to radio ( as official singles and not just for testing like they did with BJ),release some remixes, upload the live performances to YT, I don't know, how expensive can any of that be?

  17. I feel like when it comes to breakdowns everybody mentions Boys, Overprotected, Slave, Oops, etc but I have always loved this Toxic performance, even when the entire time she's standing in one place, it's like she saves all of her energy for the breakdown where she gives her all, I just love how dynamic it looks + that ITZney attitude, it's just perfection. Min 03:20 And it's weird it's barely mentioned or totally forgoten in this forum Idk why.

  18. Wow... she finally did something right and y’all criticize. The video was hot - Britney seemed to genuinely enjoy being on set and she looked good. The video was very colorful and this outfit played on that. I didn’t like the lipstick either but I think it was more her lips looking wonky than the lipstick itself.

  22. Yeah it’s problematic. Im one of those ppl that believe in living the life of a feminist and queer person. Go to school, get a badass job, get married, treat everyone normal, don’t act better. In the end kindness will make ppl understand and accept, over attacking and belittling ppl imo

  23. Its funny how feminists dont want equality when it comes to working shitty and extremely dangerous jobs, working the same amount as men do, prison time or even going to prison, divorces, custody battles or many other things.. I wonder how many fat ugly feminists will say that its not fair when in a hostage sitiation "women and children" get rescued first. I wonder how many of them care that everyome on planet earth gets upset and outraged when girls get attacked somewhere in Aftica but when a village of over 100 men is slaughtered nobody bats an eye. I wonder how many will think that its shocking how many more men kill themslves over women or that its unfair how the entire wold ralleys around womens issues (breakscancer) but nobody gives a **** about prostate cancer. Womens issues get almost all the funding.. why?? Because society prioritizes all of us victimized women.

  25. I obviously don't judge the movement based on extremists such as the example you gave.. it's the more subtle messages feminism sends that I'm not here for: promoting obesity and toxic behaviours as "body positivity" the whole #BelieveAllWomen bullsh*t.. I mean c'mon, where has innocent until proven guilty gone? disagree or not but modern feminism at its core does subtly demonize men, especially straight, white men that have done nothing wrong many other things is it even necessary to slap the feminist label onto yourself? all these left / right / feminist labels are toxic and they are the main reason people are so divided right now.. why can't you just support equality without being a feminist? supporting equality is common sense and everyone should obviously support it but as soon as you call yourself a feminist you're part of a political movement, not everyone wants that.. feminism these days is less about empowering women and more about convincing women that they are victims when in reality they aren't..

  26. Feminism's definition is just the first of many flaws the movement has. How can you say you're a feminist if you want equality and then exclude men from your movement

  27. Idk if I just haven’t been paying attention that closely to her to criticize how rusty she is but last week she gave me life at my show. I had so much fun and blown away by her talent. What would you consider her best tour? Because I went to back to basics and thought this was much better granted I may not have the best memory of that tour - it’s been years.

  31. I'm loving the response so far.. knowing (or assuming) this forum is full of gays that can't form their own political opinions but instead identify with any political ideology that's pushed on them just because of their minority status, I expected less.. you don't need to be a feminist to be a boss-*** bish.. if you can be a successful, powerful, strong, independent woman without a stupid movement backing you up, trust me, people are going to respect you way more than they otherwise would.. just like you don't have to be a feminist to support equality.. people can have opinions without participating in political movements..

  39. The Britney era choreos, especially Slave and Overprotected, I've tried just for fun (I am SO not a dancer whatsoever) and I just can't understand what they do with their legs / feet . My brain just can't process it, it's not only that I don't have the physical dexterity to do it, it's that I don't even understand what should I be supposed to do with my feet. It looks like magic lol I can do for example (or at least to the extent of my capabilities) the Slave breakdown: the armorgraphy, the bendings, move my body to the sides, etc. But the last Slave chorus, the "I cannot hold it, I cannot control it" part, I just can't comprehend. They kind of fly as they move or something lol And the Overprotected too. It looks simple, because it's slower, but it's just impossible
