Recently writer Carlos Battey of The Jackie Boyz did an interview where he talked about the origins of Madonna’s song revolver. He said in the interview it was originally intended for Rihanna. They also submitted for the *****cat Dolls. And after they didn’t take it they sent it to ever artist they could. We know from Demo singer Ravaughn it almost ended up with Katy Perry and Flo Rida. It sat around for months before Madonna picked it up in early 2009. Her husband at the time convinced her to record the song. And I personally asked Carlos if it was submitted for Britney and Kylie Minogue. And turns out is was!

Wow, the song actually always sounded very Radar-coded to me. I’m glad Britney didn’t take it though, as it would’ve been redundant after Blackout, to be honest. Really cool detail though.

The funny thing is, he said they were out of ideas and he just came up with the revolver hook🤣. It won Madonna a Grammy though, so ya never know what could’ve been🤔

It was the for best remix, but still a Grammy lol. Britney has been robbed so many times! Like Toxic isn’t even he best song🤣😭

I remember this demo!  Never been a fan of madonnas version! It fit Britney’s sound so well, shame she didn’t record it.
