Prince's estate to issue a 7 cd set of his 13th studio album 1991's Diamonds and Pearls.

Being issued on October 27, The estate of prince is reissuing his 1991 album, "Diamonds and Pearls", in an expanded 7 CD/Blu ray. 

 

 

Remastered audio and a disc of b sides and club mixes including a ten minute version of Gett off, an unreleased version..

 

It's the single where Prince introduced to the world,  "23 positions in a one night stand", and how getting off is the only way where a man can be a man, and the same for a woman to be a woman..unlike McDonald's,  the girl isn't going to get her way, unlike prince..

Cream followed,  more radio friendly in terms of both lyrics and music, but still dirty.  

Then the tour de force in the title track where Rosie gaines, took center stage, and to my mom without her, that track would flop big time. 

 

But the creme of the crop is 3 cds and material from the vault including a 12 minute version of the title track, cream take 2, and an early version of insatiable clocking a little close to 9 minutes long.

 

And live audio from a club gig at his Minneapolis club Glam slam..

 

Blu ray includes two full prince concerts from the glam slam gig, and his special Olympics show, plus never before released 35 minute special Olympics sound check, and Remastered from the original tapes, the 1992 95 minute long form video of diamonds and Pearls,  not released since the original vhs issue..

 

Housed in a 120 page hardbound book, including liner notes by celebrity fans, the new power generation band and prince fans of the estates favorite YouTube prince fan vloggers.

 

Beginning at the end of September,,a 12 week podcast of the prince podcast, the story behind diamonds and Pearls is set to air to promote the upcoming album.
