Question: Why did she only have 4 dancers during the VMA?

not only that.... her backup dancers were pretty bad, did anyone else notice that? Maybe they were really uncomfortable in their costumes or something but they looked really stiff and just bad

I liked it. I've wanted this for the longest time, to just see her dance alone on the stage. It really shows how much more confident she has gotten these past few years

she was going for a minimalist, no-distraction performance where she was front and centre. she always does the 20 backup dancer formation, in theory it was a good idea to do something unexpected. SOME live vocals would have really helped with this idea, but whatever.
