I've read that the BOMT music video she wanted to wear the school girl outfit and tie her shirt up and she came up with all the story lines of her music videos and the outfits and also the performances and outfits as well in her stage performances. Is this true?

It is true. She said of the imagery and the whole look and feel of BOMT that these were the things teens of her age at that time would want and get into. And she was right! The video spread and exploded like a wildfire cause quite a storm among her age group and beyond.

I feel as if she was the first solo female artist to appeal to teens and young people. It was diminishing until she came unto the scene. So how creative was she in her prime?
