So I'm really curious as to what people want this era. If you had to choose just one, which would you choose?

Artistic credibility - acclaimed album/winning awards

Popularity - chart topping hits and commercial success

For me I'd rather artistic credibility because I want people to take britney seriously as a musician. She has already had great commercial success. She doesn't get enough credit ascore an artist.

Everyone will say artistic credibility, which is what I want. But then 90% of exhale will turn on her if she isn't commercially successful. So, there you have it.

But sometimes artistic credibility brings you to the highest limit. Look at beyonce, she doesn't really have that much commercial success but her popularity comes from acclaimed success.

I haven't heard beyonce since single ladies so I have no idea. I like her though!

She needs both honestly.

She had both up until FF.

They need to figure out a way for both to happen because that is what is needed for her career right now.

She doesn't really need both. Her past commercial success has made her name known and built her empire to what it is today.

The one thing I hear from the GP is that they don't take her seriously as an artist. Acclaimed success will make the GP notice her more which could bring her future commercial success imo.

lol , why? give me a reason

Because you obviously don't like her. MM and PS have both been critically acclaimed and are a fresh addition to her discography. She's been pretty experimental with this album so far, so I don't know wtf you are even on about.

They don't take her seriously because she lips.

They like her music...

I'd say commercial success,

'cause she almost never wins awards for her albums, nor they were very artistic.

I wouldn't mind a nice, fresh dance hit popping up on the charts :ehidk:

A perfect example is FF album. All 3 singles were huge hits, but the album itself wasn't very spectacular.

lol artistic credibility is great and all, but what Britney needs is commercial success.

She's been established as a lipsynching diva from the 90s there's no changing that.

However, if she manages to win the public with this album, she'll have better chance of longevity even if she took a break from Vegas after 2017.

:)
